Yasmine Galenorn
Yasmine is a New York Times, USA TODAY, and Publisher’s Weekly bestselling author who won a Career Achievement Award in Urban Fantasy at the Romantic Times Convention in 2012. She has over 100 books on the shelves across the genres of paranormal women’s fiction, urban fantasy, paranormal mysteries, paranormal romance, and a mix of all of these. Her series include: the Moonshadow Bay series, the Wild Hunt series, the Chintz ‘n China series, the Bewitching Bedlam series, the Fury Unbound series, the Otherworld series.
What three words best describe you? Ambitious, Magickal, Quirky
Why did you decide to write witchy fiction? Because I’ve always been a witch, before I even knew it. I gravitate to the paranormal like a cat to catnip. It’s always been part of my everyday life, and always part of my writing.
Of all the books you’ve written, which is your favorite? I’ve written over 100 books, that’s actually an impossible choice for me. Among the faves: The Silver Stag, Starlight Web, Witchling, Night Vision, Autumn Thorns, Witches Wild…
Which of your characters are you most like, and which are you most different from? If you could mix Camille from Otherworld, January from Moonshadow Bay, and Raven, from the Wild Hunt, you’d have me. The character I am LEAST like has to be Delilah from Otherworld. She kind of drove me nuts, LOL.
What can we expect next from you? I’ll be starting two new series this autumn: a new urban fantasy series–the Shadow Blade Series, starring Kyann, a half-demon, and a new paranormal women’s fiction series–Married At First Bite–starring Maisy, a witch/matchmaker.
What’s your drink of choice? A sugar free, triple shot, almond milk, chocolate-peppermint latte. Yes, I am a coffee fiend like all my main characters!

Louisa West
The author of more than 20 books in her relatively short four-year career, Louisa writes fast and edits slowly! She loves all things paranormal, with her books sitting firmly in the paranormal women’s fiction and paracozy mystery arenas–though she has some non-paranormal contemporary romance planned for the near future. Her series include the best-selling Midlife in Mosswood series, the My Celestial Midlife series, and the Sleepy Hollow Mysteries series.. Louisa connects with the darker side of her personality writing Victorian monster why-choose romance as Lucy Lark.
What three words best describe you? Quirky, fun, and loyal.
Why did you decide to write witchy fiction? As a witch myself, the paranormal is pretty normal for me! I’ve always been drawn to tales about weird and wonderful happenings, and love injecting part of my own experiences into what I write.
Of all the books you’ve written, which is your favorite? Absolutely New Witch on the Block, the first book in my Midlife in Mosswood series. There is so much of me, my family, and my (then) situation in that book and it was the start of an incredible writing journey for me. It introduced me to wonderful authors I now get to call my peers (hey, Witchy Chicks!), and also allowed me to connect with readers the world over. I will forever be grateful to have been able to write that book!
Which of your characters are you most like, and which are you most different from? Again, I am definitely most like Rosie from the Mosswood series. She’s determined and kind, but she doesn’t take any crap either and I love that about her. In terms of characters I am the least like, it would have to be Prissy Bishop – also from Mosswood. She’s so self-righteous and full of hate and I think it must be very exhausting to go through life with her nose stuck up in the air about everything!
What can we expect next from you? My next book due out is Baby Got Ghost, the first official book in the Sleepy Hollow Mysteries paracozy series. A prequel novel in this series, Ghost Appeal, dropped a couple months ago, so there’s time to read it before the next installment!
What’s your drink of choice? It changes all the time but I’m currently loving port over ice topped up with lemonade (the Sprite variety). Add a sprig of rosemary if y’all are feeling fancy!
