Good morning peeps!
I’m so excited for next week when Shadow Scorching releases. I’m having great fun with this series and I envision it continuing for quite some time. Next up is Haunted Eclipse, the first in my new paranormal women’s fiction series. For those of you who loved Moonshadow Bay, I’m pretty sure you’re going to love this as well. Maisy Tripwater is a matchmaker, bringing together couples in the Supe Community, amidst all the ghostly and ooo-spooky activities trying to prevent her from doing her job.
For those of you who are interested, on my Patreon I have a tier where you will be able to read the book as I write it, chapter by chapter. For more information, visit my Patreon.
There’s always an anticipatory period right before I start a new book. It feels like all things are possible, and especially when I’m starting a new series. I don’t know if other writers experience it, but for me it’s the equivalent of someone waiting to take a trip they’ve wanted to take for some time, to a place they’ve neer been. It truly is like entering a new country, one where you don’t really know the rules of the road or what the landscape will be like. I do not plot — I’m an intuitive writer — but I do have a vision of what the series will be, and it’s exciting to see how close to my vision that “country” truly is.
In other news, I have started taking Mounjaro for my type II diabetes. I tried Ozempic and it made me sick as a dog, I tried metformin and it made me sick as a dog. I used to control it through low-carb alone, but with the chronic illnesses I have, that’s no longer fully possible. I feel excited about this opportunity, and so far, I’m doing well. Granted, I’ve only been on it for a week or, but by that point, the Ozempic side effects were already starting to hit me. Interestingly enough, the type II diabetes may have been brought on by my main chronic illness — MCAS. I’m just so over dealing with the inflammation and the issues caused by all these chronic illnesses, so hoping to mitigate as much as I can. And I’m choosing to look at the Mounjaro as an adventure, as well. One that I hope works.
Well, that’s about it for now. How’s your life going? Are you onto any new adventures?
